SCOTT Mitchell continued his fine form with an excellent run in week nine of the MODUS Super Series.
The Dorset star, fresh off captaining England to victory in the WDF Tri Nations, embarked on an astonishing unbeaten streak in Portsmouth.
Scotty Dog won 14 of his 15 group games to qualify for finals night, beating the likes of Kevin Painter, Marvin van Velzen, Doug Boehm and Ray Mulvey.
Mitchell then defeated Thomas Lovely and Adam Lipscombe to reach the last four, where he was edged out 4-3 by Polish youngster Sebastian Bialecki.
Bialecki was also the only man to beat Mitchell during the group stage.
The 20-year-old went on to lose the final 4-2 to rising star Beau Greaves, who became the first female winner of a MODUS event, astonishingly winning all 12 of her matches.
