FOOTBALL fans do not have much longer to wait to get their fix of top level action again, with a summer of international tournaments ahead.
Tonight sees Euro 2024 begin in Germany, when Cherries’ own Ryan Christie looks to earn his 50th Scotland cap against the host nation.
The 29-year-old is one of 10 current or former Cherries players with their countries this summer, either for the Euros or Copa America, who begins later this month in the USA.
After facing Germany, Christie and Scotland have group games against Switzerland (June 19) and Hungary (June 23).
And in that match against Hungary, Christie could come up against Cherries teammate Milos Kerkez.
Hungary begin against Switzerland (June 15), before taking on Germany (June 19).

Cherries’ third player in the Euros is centre-back Illia Zabarnyi, a key player for Ukraine.
They begin their tournament against Romania (June 17), before matches against Slovakia (June 21) and Belgium (June 26).
Sadly, due to injury, Enes Unal will not be heading to the Euros with Turkey.
But there are two ex-Cherries involved.
Aaron Ramsdale, the 2020 Daily Echo/Micky Cave trophy winner, is likely to play second fiddle to Everton’s Jordan Pickford in goal for England.
But the 26-year-old Arsenal stopper will hope to add to his five caps in matches against Serbia (June 16), Denmark (June 20) or Slovenia (June 25).
Somebody who should see plenty of action this tournament is Nathan Ake.
Also a former player of the season at Cherries, the fans’ favourite is with Netherlands, fresh off winning another Premier League title with Manchester City.
They face matches against Poland (June 16), France (June 21) and Austria (June 25).
Meanwhile, two members of Cherries’ squad are due to take part in Copa America.
Tyler Adams, battling his way back to fitness, is with host nation USA.
They are in a group with Bolivia (June 23), Panama (June 27) and Uruguay (July 2).
Alongside Adams in the USA squad is Cameron Carter-Vickers.
The centre-back impressed for Cherries during a loan spell from Tottenham Hotspur in the 2020-21 season, helping the club reach the Championship play-offs.
The 26-year-old now plies his trade with Celtic.
Current Cherries winger Luis Sinisterra is with in-form Colombia.
Unbeaten since February 2022, Colombia thrashed USA 5-1 in a friendly last week.
They are in a Copa America group with Paraguay (June 24), Costa Rica (June 28) and Brazil (July 3).
Also in the Colombia squad is Jefferson Lerma, the Daily Echo/Micky Cave winner in 2023, before he joined Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile, left-back Matias Vina is part of Marcelo Bielsa’s Uruguay squad.
Despite some eye-catching moments during a loan spell in 2022-23, Cherries opted not to sign Vina.
The 26-year-old is now at Flamengo, after a stint at Sassuolo.
