POOLE Town have bolstered their squad with the addition of three new players ahead of the start of the Southern League season.

Dolphins rounded off their pre-season preparations with an impressive 2-0 win over Worthing on Tuesday night.

They included three trialists in their side for that game, all of whom have now signed permanent deals with the club.

Goalkeeper Cameron Plain, who impressed in keeping a clean sheet, has been snapped up following his summer release from AFC Bournemouth.

Boss Steve Tully said: “Delighted to get Cam in. The club have worked really hard. He’s a lad who has got great potential.

“He has played at a really high standard already. He’s a proper number one and we’re delighted to have him in the great.”

Centre-back Harry Thomas also stood out against Worthing.

The youngster arrives following a spell at Peterborough United, having previously been in Cherries’ academy.

He has gained experience on loan at AFC Totton and Corby Town.

The third addition is full-back Jamar Smith.

Smith featured regularly for Salisbury last season in their promotion campaign.

He was also promoted the previous season, with Didcot Town.

The 23-year-old previously had experience internationally, with Jamaica under-17s.
