HEAD coach Paul Lawrence says that he wants Dorset to win its final NCAA Championship, despite fielding a much-changed side.
Dorset take on Herefordshire in the final three-day match of the season on Sunday at the Leaze in Wimborne.
The final games comes off the back of defeat to Wales last time out and draws to Wiltshire and Shropshire due to rain affected play.
Speaking ahead of the match, Lawrence revealed there would be several changes to the line-up but believed his side could still come away with a victory.
He told the Dorset Echo: "Ideally we want to come away with the win. We strengthened in parts in the game against Wales but we came up short in the end.
"In the two other games this season we have had no chance of a result because of the weather and we want to finish with a win.
"In an ideal world it would be the same eleven as in the last games, but through unavailability it will give opportunities to players who may not have played."
Ed Ellis will come in for Alex Eckland behind the stumps as wicketkeeper/batter, whilst two of the side's seamers will be swapped.
Matt Burton and Ed Bartlett unavailable, so in comes Tom Varney and Ollie Southon to the bowling attack.
Dom Clutterbuck also comes into the bowling lineup as an extra spinner, replacing batsman Ben Rogers.
Lawrence added: "We decided to go with one less batter and have one extra spinner.
"It's an opportunity for some of these players to come in and showcase their skills.
"It is also an opportunity to have a look at them for next season and that is for all three formats."
The Dorset coach does not think the changes will impact his side's ability to win the game and remains confident of the squad to do the job.
He continued: "They way our batting line up is, I back them to score.
"And I have seen the bowlers in the T20 and over 50 games so I am confident they can do a job and take 20 wickets."
