ROMAIN Faivre has left Cherries on a season-long loan deal.
The Frenchman returns to his former club Brest, who finished third in Ligue 1 last season, qualifying for the Champions League.
Faivre, 26, joined Cherries from Lyon last summer for £12.8million.
He was instantly loaned out to FC Lorient, but recalled by Cherries in January.
In the second half of last season, Faivre made six appearances for Cherries, all as a substitute.
The midfielder featured in all four of Cherries’ official friendlies this summer, providing an assist for Daniel Jebbison’s winning goal against Girona on Saturday.
Former France under-21 international Faivre previously spent two seasons at Brittany-based Brest, between 2020 and 2022, having arrived from Monaco.
The Pirates are managed by Eric Roy and begin their league campaign against Marseille on Sunday.
