ANDONI Iraola insists Cherries are not on a desperate hunt for a new left-back, feeling there is already adequate cover within the squad.
Julian Araujo joined from Barcelona this week, making him the third right-back in the squad, after Adam Smith and Max Aarons.
Milos Kerkez is the only recognised senior left-back at the club, with the now departed Lloyd Kelly having often filled that role last season.
A number of other players, including Dango Ouattara, also stepped in on occasion when neither Kerkez nor Kelly were available.
Discussing the situation at left-back, Iraola said: “Right now we have four full-backs. Instead of having two and two, we have three plus one.
“But it’s true that especially Adam and even Max I could say, they have played on the left side.
“I’m very confident I could use them on the other side. I think we have the area well covered.
“You never know until the market ends how we will finish, but I think we have the numbers there.”
Earlier this summer Aarons was linked with a move away, with Roma said to be interested, while Southampton had a bid rejected.
