POOLE Runners’ under-15s impressed at the South-West Track & Field Championship in Exeter.
Verna Asom won both the 300m (36.83s) and the 200m (23.47s), the latter from Kevin Dapaah (24.07m), who claimed the 100m title in 11.81s.
William Blackmore doubled the high jump (1.70m) and long jump (5.31m), while Wimborne AC’s Elliott Trickey won the triple jump with 11.03m.
Among the under-15 girls, Wimborne AC’s Ava Elliott-Smith won the 100m (12.81s) and took silver in the 200m (26.54s). Kayla Robbins won the high jump (1.45m) and Olivia Jones gained silver in both discus (22.60m) and javelin (27.21m).
Bournemouth AC duo Gabriella Pitman (300m, 42.73s) and Jasmine Munden (triple jump, 9.91m) also struck gold, with second places over 75m hurdles for both Sienna Pope (12.48s) and Tonaya Welsh (12.45s).
Zachary Richings (Poole AC) won the under-17 men’s triple jump with 13.67m and high jumped 1.75m for silver.
Charlie Cleal was a Wimborne winner in the 200m (23.41s). Jakob Roberts was second in the under-20 shot (11.78m).
Jaya Collinson claimed a 400m double for Poole AC (flat 59.60s, hurdles 64.67s).
Eli Smith doubled the under-13 boys 100m (13.25s) and 200m (27.35s) for Poole Runners and Charlie Talbot won the high jump with 1.50m.
PAC’s Jonah Richings won the long jump (5.23m) and gained silver in 100m (13.52s) and high jump (1.40m). Poole AC under-13 Lumen Myers won both shot (9.47m) and discus (23.64m) and her 29.42m javelin throw backed up Wimborne AC’s Mila Desborough (34.21m) for a Dorset one-two.
