ANDONI Iraola has ‘difficult decisions’ to make after Dean Huijsen’s impressive Premier League debut last weekend.

Huijsen, 19, signed from Juventus this summer and looked confident and assured in his league bow against Nottingham Forest.

Marcos Senesi is set to return to the matchday squad against Newcastle on Sunday, after recovering from illness that kept him out at Forest.

Asked by the Daily Echo how he was going to make the decision on Sunday, Iraola laughed and said: “This is a very difficult one.

“But I have a lot of decisions to make that are very difficult because you asked me about the goalkeeper before, now over the centre backs, I have a decision to make in the midfield also.

“I have the decision to make in the wingers.

“So, at the end, there are a lot of decisions that I have to make and I will try to make the ones will give us more chances.

“I will just focus on the team I think gives us more chances to beat Newcastle to start well.”

The Cherries boss said he also considers his substitutions and who he wants to bring on as different situations come up through the games, thinking beyond the first half when he selects his starting 11.

“This is my job,” Iraola said.

“It's not easy job during the week, especially now that we have a lot of healthy players that are asking for minutes and what is the job we have.

“It's difficult because always you feel like probably this one deserves to play and I'm probably not going to choose him, but it's our job and we have to accept it.”

When asked about Cherries’ options in goal, with Neto and Mark Travers in the frame to play, Iraola said he doesn’t have a number one.

The club has been linked with moves for other goalkeepers, including Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga on a loan deal.

“I don't have number one, number two, number three,” Iraola said.

“I don't tell the keepers, you are one, two. I don't put the right backs. One, two, three.

“Left back, one, two, three.

“No, I try to choose from game to game and I try to make the right call sometimes focusing on what has happened in the game past game, what has happened during the training, who we are facing, what we will need in the games, the demands.

“I don't know who is going to start against Chelsea in four or five weeks.

“I go week by week, see what happens, how I feel every player and I take the decisions from there.”
