JAIDON Anthony has travelled to Burnley ahead of a potential move on loan.

The winger travelled to Lancashire on bank holiday Monday, August 26, for a medical ahead of his move to the Scott Parker-managed club.

This would see a reunion with the former Cherries boss, for whom Anthony was a regular in his Bournemouth teams.

Anthony played on loan with Leeds last season, despite having featured in Cherries’ pre-season and in Iraola’s early games in charge at Cherries.

He made 31 appearances for the Yorkshire side, featuring regularly off the bench with two starts, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

The 24-year-old played 16 minutes in the Championship play-off final, as Leeds lost to Southampton.

He joined AFC Bournemouth as a youngster, arriving from Arsenal’s U18s in 2016, before progressing through the age-group sides.

A loan to Weymouth followed in the 2019/2020 season.

To date, Anthony has made 93 appearances for Bournemouth, and featured as a regular in Parker’s Championship promotion-winning side.

The following season, he was an un-used substitute in Cherries opening two games, playing 45 minutes vs Arsenal and the full 90 minutes in the 9-0 loss to Liverpool, before Parker left the club.

This season, he has been named on the bench for the Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United games but has not come on.

He has three years left on his Cherries contract.
