AFC BOURNEMOUTH prioritised Daniel Jebbison’s development in deciding to send him on loan while Enes Unal is still recovering from injury.

Jebbison has moved to Watford on loan, it has been confirmed, as was the plan for the striker when he signed for Cherries in the summer after leaving Sheffield United.

The forward has been involved in each of Cherries opening three games of the season, coming off the bench in both league games and playing the first 45 minutes against West Ham.

When asked about Jebbison’s move and if that meant Unal was close to a return from injury, Andoni Iraola said: “Enes is not training with the group still, but I think we have prioritised what was the best for Jebbo and was the idea from the beginning of the signing a little bit.

“I think he has been very good. The pre-season, he has been involved in the three games we've played.

“We've really used him because he has been useful for us, but I think he needs to play continuously because he’s very young still.

“[He] comes from long periods of injuries and not playing, so he needs some continuity.

“I think it's also a very good option for him and I think it was the best thing for him and I hope we can recover Enes.”

Unal is recovering from surgery on a broken foot.

“He's doing very well, the recovery,” Iraola said.

“I see him running with the boot, so he should be there now.

“I think we can use these two weeks of the international break, if he is available, to start introducing him a little bit and without rushing him, because he comes from a surgery and we don't want to rush him, but I think he can start a little bit integrating to the team.”
