WIMBORNE Town travel to face AFC Totton in the Southern League Premier South this evening.

Tim Sills’ side have won their last two games including a convincing display in a 2-1 win at home to Hungerford Town but have a much tougher test as they face high-flying Totton who are currently 2nd.

A win for Wimborne this evening would ensure their first back-to-back league wins since the opening two games of the season.

AFC Totton come into the game winless in three following a 2-2 draw with Basingstoke on Saturday which saw four goals in the opening 20 minutes including a first goal for the Stags for Charlie Austin who opened the scoring.

However, as it stands, the Stags are still unbeaten in the league and will no doubt be a tough side to break down.

The last time these two sides met was in the Southern League South Division One in April of 2023 and AFC Totton came out victorious on the day with a 4-0 win after all four of the goals were scored in the second half.

Striker Will Fletcher will be looking to continue his fine goal-scoring run at the moment as he has netted three times in the last two occasions.

Cam Munn tops the goal-scoring charts for the Magpies with an impressive five goals in six league games.

Harry Morgan and Harry Baker have recently returned from injury but are yet to make a start for the Magpies this season.

Wimborne currently sit in 10th place with nine points, but a win could potentially see them rising to 6th position, just outside of the playoffs.

Manager Tim Sills, speaking to Wimborne’s media team, said: “We’ll still approach like we believe we can get something out of the game, because I know my squad of players can do that.”
