A FOOTBALL club that was founded in 2019 is readying itself to make its first appearance in a national competition this Sunday.
Kraken Sports FC will host Cornwall side Speak Out Utd Mental Health FC at the County Ground in Hamworthy in the FA Sunday Cup.
Sponsored by local company The Kraken Group, the side currently plays in the MA Hart Bournemouth Sunday Football League Division One.
The club is looking forward to the fixture, which will its first venture into the national competition.
Kick off is at 2pm on Sunday, October 6, with gates opening at 12.30pm.
The FA Sunday Cup is a knock-out competition for amateur Sunday league teams that was founded in 1964.
It was established after the FA allowed Sunday league teams to become affiliated with the governing body in 1960.
The current holders are Trooper FC, who defeated Home Bargains 2-1 in last season’s final.
The most successful club in the cup’s history is Hetton Lyons Cricket Club, who have won the competition four times.
