COBHAM Sports fell to their third Dorset Premier League defeat of the season losing 4-3 at neighbours Wimborne Town Reserves.
The hosts opened the scoring with just eight minutes on the clock, as Finley Richardson latched onto a long ball and clipped the ball over the advancing Cobham keeper Jacob Deakin.
The lead was doubled on 26 minutes as the visitors gave the ball away on halfway, before Kimanie Edward found some space on the left side of the box and drove home into the far corner.
Cobham were wasteful in front of goal in the first period and the sides entered the break with the hosts two goals to the good.
But the visitors started the second half well and got a goal back just within five minutes of the restart.
A Dan Brown corner kick was glanced home by Ellis George giving Wimborne keeper Tom Thorne no chance.
The hosts’ two-goal advantage was restored ten minute later, though, as Callum Clarke intercepted a short Cobham pass and slotted home.
The visitors adjusted their formation and sought a way back into the game, with Brown drawing a good save from Thorne three minutes after Wimborne’s third.
New Cobham signing Dan Kelly came on and made a difference, with Cobham getting their reward after 68 minutes.
Josh Buck picked out Tadgh Case in space on the left, who beat his man and cut in before shooting from 20 yards and finding the net, giving Thorne no chance.
The scores were levelled five minutes later as Case became provider, finding Kelly on the edge of the box who in turn found the bottom corner.
But Cobham were their own worst enemies as they pushed for the winner, giving the ball away in their own half on 75 minutes as Clarke then played Max Patmore to slot home and give Wimborne the lead once again.
The visitors threw everything at their hosts in the final 15 minutes to get back on level terms, but they were unable to find the equaliser and the game ended 4-3 to the Magpies.
