COBHAM Sports ran out 4-1 winners over Poole Borough after a good encounter at Merley Park.
The hosts started well but it was the visitors hit the front against the early run of play, as Max Kenway played in Zach Seal on the counterattack, with Seal finishing well after six minutes.
But Cobham were back on level terms four minutes later through captain Ellis George, as Tadgh Case won a corner, with George heading home from a Dan Brown delivery.
The hosts were taking the game to Borough, while being wary of the threat on the counter, with James in the visitors’ net saving from Dan Kelly and Dan Naish efforts.
Cobham hit the front three minutes before the half time interval.
Brown was the first to react to a blocked Josh Buck effort from a free kick, as they went into the break with a 2-1 lead.
The start of the second half was a midfield battle but the home side began to gain control of the game, and they extended their lead on the hour mark.
A cross by Callum Perry was headed home by George for his second goal of the afternoon.
Borough were a threat on the counterattack, though, and they went close to getting a goal back as Bond was found on the run, with his shot flying just over the bar.
Deakin in the Cobham goal was rarely troubled as the game opened up, though, as Harvey Elsom did well to control the backline.
The points were put out of sight of the visitors on the 86th minute, as Perry clipped in a cross from a free kick on the left, which Naish met on the run and fired in at the front post.
Cobham saw out the 4-1 victory to make it seven wins in the league so far this season.
