WIMBORNE fell to a 2-1 defeat in Devon to Plymouth Parkway after being reduced to ten men in the second half.
Will Fletcher had given the Magpies a deserved lead, but the hosts took all three points after Cam Munn was sent off for a second yellow card for simulation, Plymouth scoring twice to turn the game around.
Munn was Tim Sills’ only change to his side for the first Wimborne game in ten days.
After a bright start from both sides, Plymouth had the first chance after a shot from the edge of the box, which didn’t trouble Alex Rutter in the Wimborne net, who was in fine form all night.
The visitors took the lead after 15 minutes, as Josh Carmichael’s corner found Fletcher who powered home from six yards out.
The Wimborne duo of Sam Roberts and Harvey Wright dealt with the threat of the hosts who looked to find a response with a succession of balls over the top.
Wimborne went close to doubling their lead after neat work from Munn and Matt Neale, but a sprawling Lee in the Plymouth goal kept it at 0-0.
Munn was booked towards the end of the first period for a late challenge on the halfway line, as the sides went into the break with Wimborne holding a narrow lead.
He saw red just seven minutes into the second period, after he charged towards the box and appeared to be clipped outside the area.
But the referee saw different and sent him off with a second yellow card for simulation.
The hosts levelled the game within two minutes of the red card, as Beardmore tapped home, before they took the lead on the 70th minute.
Rutter made three spectacular saves but could do nothing as Garside smashed home from close range.
The Magpies keeper kept them in the contest with 10 minutes to go, denying Beardmore from close range.
Wimborne had two half chances towards the death but couldn’t convert as they fell to defeat on the road.
