THE Cherries Trust and Talking Cherries will be supporting a campaign against price increases for match going fans today at the game against Manchester City.

The two Cherries groups will stand alongside City fans in voicing their support for the Football Supporters’ Association’s (FSA) #StopExploitingLoyalty campaign.

The campaign aims to highlight the continued price rises for fans while asking clubs to reward fans that go week in, week out.

The FSA secured a £30 cap on away tickets a decade ago and calls on Premier League clubs to engage with their supporters to ensure that attending games remains affordable.

On Saturday, Bournemouth fans will gather at the Queens Park for 1.30pm before the City game, and will aim to meet up with away fans opposite the old 1910 at 2pm.

The groups said they feel it is important to support the campaign to support fans across the country, as protests have taken place at grounds over clubs’ ticketing strategies.

Data from the FSA shows that Premier League prices have risen by seven per cent, with the association claiming there is a ‘widespread attack on concessionary prices for younger and older supporters’.
