THERE is plenty of non-league football on offer this weekend.
Wimborne are in action on Saturday as they host Taunton Town.
The Magpies are winless in three and will be looking to get back to winning ways.
Taunton will come into the game in high hopes following their impressive 1-0 victory of Walton & Hersham.
Midfielder Matty Burrows got back on the scoresheet in the 3-1 defeat to Chertsey Town.
Tim Sills’ side currently sit 14th in the league but are only five points off the playoff places.
After the defeat to Chertsey, club captain Sam Jackson spoke to Wimborne’s media and said: “It’s a familiar story at the moment, if you don’t take your chances, you lose games.”
Poole Town make the trip to Hampshire to face Basingstoke on Saturday.
The Dolphins will be looking to bounce back following back-to-back defeats to Tiverton Town and Gosport Borough.
It will be another tough test for Steve Tully’s side as they sit in 10th place with Basingstoke currently 4th.
Basingstoke ran out as winners on both occasions when the sides met last season including a 4-2 win at The Winklebury Sports Complex.
Striker Rafa Ramos is expected to return to the bench for the game having missed the previous two matches.
Harry Thomas misses out due to receiving his second red card of the season against Gosport.
Looking ahead to the weekend, manager Steve Tully said: “It’s another tough game but we’ve got a really good group, and they’ll do anything they can to get three points.”
Hamworthy United travel to Lymington Town this weekend.
The Hammers are in fantastic form at the moment, winning five out of their last six outings.
Dan Cann’s side currently sit in 5th position, just inside the playoff places.
They face a Lymington side who are currently 14th in the division, with 18 points after 15 games.
Bailey Rowe will be looking to continue his fine goal-scoring form after finding the back of the net on 16 occasions this season making him the second top scorer in the league.
The last time these two sides met, Hamworthy United narrowly edged out Lymington in a 3-2 win at the County Ground last season.
Bashley are also in action this weekend as they host Bideford at Bashley Recreation Ground.
Bashley currently sit 5th in the Southern League South Division but are ten points off leaders Yate Town.
In the Dorset Premier League, Bournemouth Sports host Bournemouth Electric.
Swanage Town & Heston travel to league leaders Dorchester Sports and Poole Borough host Bridport Reserves.
Cobham Sports will be looking to move into the top two as they make the trip to Hamworthy Rec Reserves.
