DAVID Brooks' consolation goal for AFC Bournemouth against Brighton is 'good for his confidence', Andoni Iraola said.
Brooks opened his premier league account for the season after coming off the bench in the 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday.
This was his first goal for Iraola’s side in the league since September 2023 when he scored in a 2-2 draw with Brentford.
His consolation goal in the defeat to Brighton was too late for the Cherries as they suffer back-to-back defeats for the first time since September.
After the match, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I think it's important that everyone who comes off the bench adds numbers, adds energy, also Enes [Unal] with an assist, Brooksy with a goal.
“It hasn’t been enough to take any points but I think it’s good for their confidence.”
