DORSET star Scott Mitchell has been drawn to face three-time world finalist Peter Manley in the opening round of the World Seniors Darts Championship.
Mitchell will get his campaign underway in the final game of the session on Thursday, February 9.
Nicknamed ‘One Dart’, Manley, 60, was beaten in three PDC world finals by Phil Taylor in 1999, 2002 and 2006.
Mitchell, unseeded for the event, could face reigning champion and number one seed Robert Thornton in round two.
Other stellar names in the field, for the competition specifically for players aged 50 and over, include Phil Taylor, Martin Adams, John Part and Trina Gulliver.
The event is set to take place at the Circus Tavern, in Purfleet.
Mitchell was invited to the Seniors competition after failing to secure a third straight year on the main PDC tour.
